Our Values

Quick Response Time

Because we are a small organization, we respond at a moment’s notice.  All phone calls to JC Engineering reach Joe Kelley’s cell phone on his hip, and he will give you immediate attention

Detail-Oriented

We pay attention to your essential details. Large companies especially have a hard time paying attention to all the details, because they have so many staff working on your project, and sometimes people working on it may not even know what you want. But we are a detail-oriented company, and because the person listening to you is the same person doing the work, we do precisely what you ask for.

Certifications

DBE and TERO Certified Company

Joe Kelley, the owner of J C Engineering, is part Cherokee Indian. Many Public Sector contracts require DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise) certification. So J C Engineering has completed the process to obtain DBE certification by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) certification by the Cherokee Nation.

Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)

Joe Kelley has fulfilled the requirements for certification as a Floodplain Manager. Mr. Kelley has a thorough understanding of floodplain management as regulated by the federal agency, FEMA. Also, his experience includes minor and major Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) that have successfully made their way through the FEMA map revision process. If you have a property in a floodplain and are unsure if you should develop it or how much it might cost, give Mr. Kelley a call.

Economic Approach to Problem-Solving

Whenever our engineer does your design, he is conscious of cost. We stretch our own money as far as we can, and we know that our clients are the same. So we design our projects with your money in mind. There is no reason to spend $1,500 on a butterfly valve when a $600 gate valve will do just fine.

JC Engineering’s Project Philosophy

JC Engineering has learned to spend time up front with the Client, planning ahead.  We don’t have to retrofit something into your project because we forgot it at that start.  This makes your project more COHESIVE and also more COST-EFFECTIVE (by reducing re-work).  We take your project personally and invest ourselves into it.

Few Words From Our Founder

On a Personal Note

“ Have you ever wondered what the point of this crazy world we live in is? I like what I do, and it is very important to have a job you enjoy. But is that all there is to it? Just have a job where you can accumulate enough stuff so you can retire comfortably and then die? If that's all there is to it, then this world truly IS pointless. But I'm not buyin' it.

When I was a kid, I remember hearing about Jesus--that He gave His life so I could have eternal life. I didn't want to go to Hell then, so I walked an aisle in a church and prayed a prayer and felt pretty happy: I had myself some fire insurance. That's when I was a kid.

I grew up. And so did my faith. I searched many books to prove (or disprove) to myself the validity of the Bible and of creation, etc. If you search far and long, you will find more information, but it can be dry and pointless.

When it comes right down to it, that fundamental truth I first believed when I was a kid is the most important point: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) When I was a kid, the point of that was ETERNAL (as in "forever"), and LIFE (as in "not HELL").

That understanding is correct, but now that I'm a big boy, "eternal life" means even more to me than it did. I used to think of it in terms of quantity, but now I have realized it is more than that: it is quality of life! It is LIFE, not DEATH.

I used to be dead in my trespasses and sins, as in separated from God, as trapped by my lust, as in totally self-centered with no real hope. But now I've got this relationship thing going with Jesus and my Father God. This relationship has changed me from the inside out, and compared to what it used to be, it is life and not death anymore. All credit and praise go to Him and to His Spirit, who drew me because if it were up to plain old normal me, I wouldn't have the sense to receive the Son who brings eternal life.”
